Once There Were Wolves (Charlotte McConaghy)

Fascinating and gripping novel about a group of biologists, led by main character Inti, who reintroduce wolves into the Scottish wilderness.

When a farmer is killed in a nearby town, the residents grow weary of the wolves' presence, sending Inti into defense mode.

Are one of the wolves responsible or is the murderer human?

I absolutely loved this novel. There is a little bit of everything. Adventure, drama, romance, mystery, horror.

I love all of McConaghy's novels but this one remains at the top of my list.
