My parents used to take The Bus (O'ahu's public transportation) from my grandmother's home in Waipahu to the North Shore, where my dad would surf.

Mom said my dad would always sing Supertramp's "Take the Long Way Home" as they took the bus back.

Before I knew this story, I actually used to loathe the song but, now, it's become a favorite!
